Terms of Use

Last updated: December 21, 2025

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of thinkswallowthrive.com, published by Kinnari Satra, MS, CCC-SLP, MBA, CBIS, operating as Think Swallow Thrive ("I," "me," or "my"). By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Educational Purpose Only, Not Medical Advice

Everything on this site, including blog posts, resource pages, FAQs, and downloadable handouts, is provided for general educational purposes only. It does not constitute individualized medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using this site does not create a clinician-patient relationship between you and me. Every person's swallowing, communication, or cognitive situation is different, and recommendations that are safe or appropriate for one person may not be appropriate for another.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider, such as your own speech-language pathologist, physician, or care team, for guidance specific to your situation before making any decision based on something you read here. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. Do not rely on this site for urgent or emergency medical guidance.

I am licensed to practice as a speech-language pathologist in the state of California, and that license is not universal. Nothing on this site should be understood as an offer to provide clinical services in a jurisdiction where I am not licensed, and reading this site does not establish a treatment relationship regardless of where you are located.

Content Ownership and Attribution

Original written content on this site, including the Home, About, and Resources pages, and blog posts marked as written by me, is my own work and is protected by copyright. Blog posts marked as syndicated or as a guest spotlight are attributed to their original authors and sources, as shown on each individual post, and remain the property of those authors and publishers.

A limited number of downloadable handouts on the Educational Handouts page are my own original work. The remainder link out to their original publishing organization rather than being hosted here, and those materials remain the property of their respective publishers, subject to that publisher's own terms.

You may view, download, and print material from this site for your own personal, educational, or clinical reference use. You may not republish, sell, or otherwise redistribute this site's original content, or represent it as your own, without my prior written permission.

If you believe material on this site infringes your copyright, please contact me through the Contact page with a description of the material, its location on the site, and your contact information, and I will investigate and address legitimate claims promptly.

Links to Other Sites

This site links out to external research, patient education material, and professional organizations as part of its educational mission. I select these links carefully, but I do not control external sites and am not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability. A link does not imply my endorsement of everything on that site, and external content may change or be removed after I link to it.

No Warranties

This site and its content are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. I make reasonable efforts to keep content accurate and current, but I do not guarantee that any information on this site is complete, error-free, or applicable to your specific circumstances.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site, or from any decision made based on its content. This includes, but is not limited to, decisions about diet, exercises, or seeking (or not seeking) professional care.

Acceptable Use

Please use this site respectfully. You agree not to attempt to disrupt the site's normal operation, scrape or republish its content at scale, or use the site for any unlawful purpose.

General Provisions

Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Accessibility Statement, make up the entire agreement between us regarding use of this site, and supersede any earlier version.

No waiver. If I do not enforce a provision of these terms on one occasion, that does not waive my right to enforce it later.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these terms as the site evolves. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
